Today's story isn't about comparing and describing these lovely two islands. Just one letter difference for a a traveler in search of direction. What I want, is to share my opinion on why & when you should use a travel consultant.
The answer is simple: to save money, as time is money.
Did you know that:
The average time needed to book a 2-week travel itinerary is 40 hours!
Greece has 270 inhabited islands and 16,000 km of coastlines. It boasts 18 UNESCO World Heritage sites, along with numerous smaller archaeological sites, Byzantine citadels, churches, monasteries, and more. Greece is 80% mountainous, hiding gems for adventurers, authenticity seekers, and food lovers. What are you dreaming of, and how can you combine them?
One of the most common disappointments for travelers to Greece is the location of their highly-rated hotel as shown on its website. Google Maps isn't enough to show you the reality versus your expectations.
To cut a long story short, if you have plenty of time either during the planning phase or while traveling, you have the luxury to search extensively online, talk to people who have been to Greece before, check locations on maps one by one, read reviews, and book everything on your own. If you have time while traveling, you can make spontaneous changes on the spot. Like one place? Stay longer. Met a local who suggested Tinos instead of Naxos? You have the time and flexibility to do it.
So, have time? Planning a trip can be just as rewarding as actually taking the trip. Enjoy the ride! Otherwise, call your agent!
By the way Naxos or Paxos ?cannot choose (they are in my top 5 list); it all depends on what you are looking for !
